Wildlife Surveillance | Camera Obscura | The
Ballpool
In relation to the recent technology of LCD screens and video cameras
the visual arts element has introduced a Camera Obscura to the building,
which in addition to being an introduction to understanding optics also
takes the idea of the 'live' moving image back to its original form.

We were fortunate to have one of the country's leading Camera Obscura
experts, Peter Drew from The
Astronomy Centre, to design and install it for us. The Camera Obscura
is situated in one of the process rooms at the side of the classroom,
and gives a 360° panoramic aspect across the playground, lake and
gardens.
